Wolf Warrior Hydraulic Brake adjustment

If your hydraulic disc brake is rubbing, please first ensure that this is not caused by a bent rotor. Put your scooter up on a chair so the wheels are spinning freely. put a light source behind the rotor so you can easily see if the rotor is bent or if it can be fixed by slightly aligning the brake pads.

Also check the rotor for play and tighten the mounting bolts if necessary.

The pads can be adjusted as follows:

The photo shows you the top view of the brake caliper, there are two allen bolts visible from the top.

1. please loosen these two bolts until the caliper is able to move freely side to side

2. Hold the brake lever to center the loosened caliper over the rotor.

3. re-tighten the two bolts without much force while the brake lever is held tightly

4. release the brake lever, spin the wheel to see if it did the job.

5a. If it did, move to step 6.

5b. If the brake is still rubbing, loosen 1 bolt at a time (just a quarter to half a turn following step 4) and manually adjust the caliper with your hands so the brake does not rub anymore. Once they do not rub tighten without much force.

BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR FINGERS WHEN OPERATING NEXT TO THE MOVING ROTOR

6. Tighten the screws all the way (6-8 Nm force) to finish the job.

In case your rotor is bent and unless you have a severe wobble in the disc, we would actually recommend you try truing the rotor first to see if that will be sufficient. Any smaller wobbles can be easily removed. You can use a tool like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0c2Ez2v0PU

Bike shops in your area should be able to help with that as well.

If you are not able to resolve it as per the above instructions, we can certainly provide a new rotor.
